Whew!

Halifax, 2004.09.02

There are some things, even quite trivial things, that can bring about a sense of accomplishment. I've managed one. In the past few days, I have hosted two friends and their two year old while packing up my apartment. Then, I managed to get my stuff into a storage room even though the one I'd booked had a lock on it when I turned up. Then there was scrubbing the whole thing, getting it inspected by the new building superintendants, and then getting my clothing and other interim stuff shipped off to Toronto in bags (some of which I had to buy).

I'd like to thank my friends Charlie and Andrea for their help, and the good folks at Lee Movers for helping me fit my stuff into a unit that was far smaller than the one I thought I'd need.

Now I've got a day or two to wrap up loose ends, and I'm gone!

rand()m quote

...and when you try to get some, it surely can be hard. There's always trouble waiting, when you leave your own back yard.
