Today I found a disgusting article on the Economist. It deals in today's slavery figures, and those figures are appalling. There are still some 20 000 slaves in the US, and tens of thousands more in Africa and south Asia. In some countries in western Africa, as much as 40% of the population are slaves or former slaves!
What the hell kind of world are we building, here?
