dad for a month

I've been a father for a whole month, as of today. Everything that everyone told me to expect has come true. There have been sleepless nights, health scares (I had no idea that a new baby could vomit like an adult!) and all kinds of unscheduled changes of clothing.

As for the boy, he no longer has that newborn look, but looks like a little human. And he's grown! On Saturday we'll have him in for another check-up, and we expect that the doctors will be tut-tutting again because he's gotten so big.

It's been an amazing first couple of steps along a journey that I suppose will last me the rest of my life.
