deer!

It was rainy and quite windy today. We did a run to the mall for shopping day #2. Curiously, Nanaimo is actually a better place for shopping than is Vancouver. I don't know why this is, but I noticed it during my '06 stay and it was confirmed this time.

We stocked up on more stuff for Kenny, and I bought clothing for myself (always tricky to find in Lilliput .. er, Tokyo). We also went downtown and visited an art gallery. We bought something for the walls back in Tokyo.

In the evening, we drove around the neighbourhood and sure enough ran into some deer pillaging some suburban lawns. BC is great for spotting wildlife—it even comes to town for you!
