mum's off

Well, not a long trip this time. Mum's back off to Canada.

We took a longish walk over to a hole-in-the-wall unagi place that Mari knows in Fudomae. It's worth a longish walk. Then it was a dash to the station and we were off.

We caught one of those trains that stops at the next station to be joined by a second train. There was no guidance as to what was happening, but we had Mari's translation of the clerk's instructions to go by and were successful. Mum says that next time she comes, she'll have learned more of the language.
