making a magazine

Tokyo, 2010.03.08

Things have come a long way since I made the content management system that I use to run emuu.net.

We're currently looking into a hosting site and/or content management system to build a "magazine" for our business at Caritas. Something simple that allows us to post articles under different categories and index on tags and categories. Plus RSS and subscription capabilities and of course comments.

Needless to say I've found a few options out there. So far, I've looked into tumblr, blogspot, wordpress, and drupal as well as a wiki-based solution. If anything out there had been half as good as it is now, I probably never would have written my own CMS. But I've no regrets, because frankly that stuff was still a decade away when I first started writing the content that's now on this site. That was 1995!
