Dirty brush

Tokyo, 2010.05.07

This morning I asked Mari where she keeps a certain tough bath scrub brush. Her answer surprised and dismayed us both.

I've occasionally been using This brush in the bath when cleaning myself and the boy. It's got bristles made of some strong natural material and a long handle. It's the best brush I've ever had for scrubbing away at unreachable places on my back. Sadly, it turns out hat it's not do much a bath brush as it is a cleaner's brush.

We discovered this because Mari simply had no idea what brush I was talking about. We compared all of the brushes that we've got and sure enough, my favourite wasn't in the inventory. What's more, neither of us had ever bought such a brush and neither of us had recently thrown one away. It wasn't our brush.

The only answer was that it belonged to the cleaning service we have in on occassion. Which means that I've been scrubbing my back and our son's back with a brush used used for gods-only-know what. Ick.

Three good things that happened today:
1. Kenny behaved well at the day care
2. Got some work done "through others"
3. Found out that I've been doing something nasty .. now I can stop
