Today I ran into one of my formerJapanese teachers. She praised my Japanese language ability!

The irony of the situation is manyfold. First, I only ever aggravated her when I was in her class. Second, I've been here so long that it's actually sad that my Japanese isn't far better. And third, of course, is that I've only managed to study while I haven't been working and it's the finances that have me now considering a return to the old country. I'm finally getting somewhere just in time to leave.
