a taste of home

Toronto, 2011.02.07

Tonight I tried—and failed—to do an organized errand run after work.

It started with my arriving at the photo lab five minutes after they closed. Then I got to a furniture store and they weren't sure I could use the coupon I'd bought on groupon.

With it being just past seven at this point I made the best of it and went to the pan-Asian supermarket at Bloor & Christie and got Mari and Kenny some things they'd want. Sesame oil for Mari's cooking needs; some Japanese-style sweet potato sweets (which naturally I mostly ate on the way home); some nori; and some natto.

Mari seemed delighted with the goods as I pulled them out one by one. By some happy chance I managed to find exactly the sesame oil she likes. Go team!

rand()m quote

My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was less competition there.
