cycling with the boy again (no fatalities)

Toronto, 2011.07.07

We took the boy down to the beach with his new balance bike.

He's shown remarkable improvement, and can take small gliding steps now instead of stolidly pushing the bike along. He still likes to rely on us to provide most of the pushing, but I think he's starting to grasp the concept. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's remarkable how quickly we humans can pick things up.

The weather has been amazing for about a month now, and we had another gorgeous night. Cooler, this time, with a lake breeze, but just perfect. And this time there were no fatalities.

rand()m quote

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
