jazz in the beaches

Came home pretty burned out from work, today. One of those Fridays where things won't stay dead.

And yet, it was the second weekend for the Beaches Jazz festival, and this time it's the turn for my end of Queen Street. The whole place from Woodbine as far as Yoshi's sweets was blocked off and littered with bands. Happily most of the bands were playing the bluesy sort of jazz, and I wound up buying a CD in addition to a rather good dinner.

The whole event was much, much larger and livelier than I remember it being fifteen years ago. I like the way Toronto's developed in my absence.
