and now to relax...

Kingston, 2011.08.05

We're in Kingston, Ontario. We took the train after I got away from the office, and arrived just as the sun went down.

Needless to say, it didn't go entirely smoothly. I managed to leave several printed documents at the office due to a last minute re-org of my backpack. Those documents included the receipts for our train tickets and the name and address of our Kingston hotel. So I had to jog back to the office in 32C weather to get them and then double back. Bakadakara...

The train trip was a delight. Watching the mix of forest and farmland slide by in the low evening light was a perfect way to leave Toronto and any running around behind.

And Kingston's an interesting town for anyone interested in architecture. Well, if you're down along the old part of the city by the water, that is. Not sure that the power boat show really fit the surrounds, but there's no according for taste and/or overcompensating for one's insecurities.
