facebook gets japanese

When I lived in Japan, none of my Japanese friends and coworkers were using Facebook.
Wow has that ever changed. I can't sign into that site without being bombarded with suggestions to connect with friends and colleagues and acquaintances who've recently turned up. I mean pages and pages of them.
Welcome to it, Japan. The dread starts mild, and takes about two weeks to set in.
