X'mas at the distillery district

Tonight we met Geoff and Mariko-san at the distillery district to take in the X'mas do that they're hosting.

It was fun; they what Geoff told me was a German-style set of stands selling curios and snacks in portable log-cabin style booths. There were lots of lights, and Kenny and Mari had their first taste of maple taffy. Incredibly, the boy didn't like it on the grounds that it'd been served in a tiny ice cream cone and he'd been expecting ice cream. At zero Celsius. Nutty foreigners!

Afterward, we went back to Queen street so that Mari and Kenny could get on the streetcar back to the Beaches. We popped into a tiny hole in the wall burger joint that served up some fine food as we sat around their one-and-only table. Kenny complained about cold a fair bit, but later claimed that he'd enjoyed himself. He got a glimpse of Santa Claus, too, though we couldn't see Santa because they'd closed the entrance early due to the long line-up.
