a birthday party

We attended a birthday party for Kenny's friend Nikolai.

Happily, The Boy got right into the thick of the rough-housing with the other kids (most of whom were a few years older) and didn't just spend all of his time glued to the toys in the bedroom.

Speaking of toys, our gift to the birthday boy was a remote-control car used with a laser guide: you shine the laser on the floor and the car races after the light!

All of the adults seemed to want one, too.
