walking with my daughter
In a day dominated by a resume overhaul and a load of corporate expense tracking, I enjoyed an hour's stroll with The Girl. I picked her up at Japanese school, and we walked back past our place to a burger joint in the neighbourhood. Where we saw The Boy's best friend and his dad passing. They dropped in to say hi, and I told the dad a joke I'd heard from a mutual acquaintance:
There's a firm in Slovakia that specializes in testing microphones. There's a check on, too.
Yes, that's the joke. Check, check, check one-two? (e_e)
Just then, rather incredibly, the mutual acquaintance who'd told the joke walked by on the street as well, though he didn't seem to notice us.
