the center of the Earth is aglow

Apparently the center of the Earth is a super-dense ball of solid iron at six thousand degrees. If memory serves, that's about the same temperature as the surface of the Sun. Does that mean that there's a great deal of light being emited by the solid iron core into the surrounding iron molton .. hmm, what to do you call the sleeve of the core of a planet .. anyway, I guess it must be pretty bright?

In our society, there seems a general rule that, the more obviously one’s work benefits other people, the less one is likely to be paid for it.
