The Boy has now caught about 4x the fish I have, down in the absurdly beautiful* Tommy Thompson park. He's been doing really well with the ultralight setup I put together for his sister. I think it's his patience that wins the day. While I'm keeping busy taking care of tangles and managing the bait & tackle, he's able to focus and boy does he. I've never seen anyone with such an ability to slowly twitch a worm at the end of five-ten meters of line until something strikes.
*Well, absurdly beautiful for reclaimed land created by smashing up a bunch of houses in the 80's to make way for our craptacular forest of skyscrapers.
