goodbye, Adelaide street

Toronto, 2017.07.05

Working up-town means avoiding the dangers of Adelaide street - broken tracks, the illegally blocked cycle lane, and high-speeds. Actually, I'm on a charmed route - greenery, separated cycle lanes, and quiet. Except the bit of the Bayview extension I have to not only ride without a cycle lane in rush hour (where cars do 75kph in a 50 zone) but I have to cross all four lanes without an intersection. Just one night and I'm already reconsidering that bit!

Three reasons to be thankful:

  1. An unemployed friend found a job.
  2. The Boy likes his new (first) watch.
  3. Passed the first quiz of my new online course. On the third try.

rand()m quote

(In which I leave the final word to someone else.)

I feel fortunate that I enjoyed the blandishments of modernity. I had hip replacement and root canal. I was able to travel on airplanes. I was able to take cheap food for granted. I went to the movies. I enjoyed rock 'n' roll. And now I'm ready to move on.
